How much does it cost to release a Super car?
Most supercar manufactures leave us wondering all the time how much does it really cost to run a supercar launch, from the Geneva Motor show to local launches at your nearest dealership.
Steve Sutcliffe from Autocar has been out to southern Spain to test the new Mclaren 650S and after reviewing the car himself, he was left wondering how much does it actually cost Mclaren to run such an enormous event. In the Grand scheme of things and the publicity Mclaren get from it big as well.
From 10-20 guests and a hotel from £600-£1500 Mclaren even went to the expense of flying each guest out to Spain. In total it cost the company around £270,000 for the weekend but we’re guessing from Mclaren it’s probably pocket change!
Longest Car Jump Attempt Goes Wrong
French daredevil Guerlain Chicherit’s world record attempt for the longest car jump did not exactly go according to plan recently when his modified Mini nosedived sharply on the landing which made the car to flip and cart wheel multiple times at a high speed.
Luckily the driver only faced minor injuries but he will be back to go for the record again. We wish him all the best and hope such an incident does not take place again. The current record is held by Tanner Foust at 332 feet which he did with a 360 foot jump in his modified Mini Countryman rally car.

Mansory to Announce Gronos, Based on the Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG
Other than the “striking” Vivere (based on a Bugatti Veyron), Mansory will also announce their take on one of the most iconic Mercs ever made, the utilitarian yet incredibly luxurious G-Class. And it’s not just the standard G550 but the range-topping and mighty, V12-powered Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG.
Called the Mansory Gronos, it sports a redesigned front fascia that introduces some curves to the rectangular approach of the stock G-Class. It also has a custom made front bumper that is deeper and houses larger cooling air vents. The thing that draws my attention are those massive multi-spoke rims that adds some dynamic character to the otherwise utilitarian design of the body.
Inside, the Gronos comes with opulent leather, carpet and space. The 2nd row seats are pushed to the rear, leaving enough space for rich druglords to stretch their legs or lay their guns.
No word on any upgrades under the hood but being a product of Mansory, do expect that V12 engine to produce some crazy numbers.
